Transitions create capacity not vacancy.

What if this transition isn’t creating a vacancy… but capacity? 👀✨
Today, I moved my daughter into her junior-year dorm, and whew… transitions are REAL. 😭🤍
But I’ve been thinking about Mary.
She had to transition from mothering Jesus to following Jesus.
In Matthew 12, we see Jesus redefining the relationship: “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
And then look at Mary in Acts 1–2.
She’s not stuck in what was.
She’s with the disciples.
She’s praying.
She’s waiting for the Holy Spirit.
And she’s there when Pentecost comes. 🔥
Mary didn’t experience transition as a loss of purpose. She made room for a new expression of purpose.
That encouraged me today.
Because sometimes what feels like an ending is actually an expansion.
What looks like a vacancy may be capacity.
Capacity for new things.
New assignments.
New relationships.
New levels of faith.
New ways God wants to use you.
So if you’re in a season of transition,
don’t just mourn what’s changing.
Ask God what this new space is making room for.
Embrace the season.
Trust the process.
And walk boldly into everything God has for you. 🤍
Capacity, not vacancy.
