Genesis 38 reminds us that hurt has a way of making us speak before we see clearly.

Here’s the question: What do you want in response to your hurt?

The answer may reveal whether you’ve surrendered your pain to Jesus—or whether you’re still letting it shape your response.

Be careful what your pain convinces your mouth to say.

Your mouth will write checks your soul can’t cash.

Before you seek revenge, take your hurt to Christ. He alone can heal what wounded you without turning you into someone who wounds others.
