You can’t win a spiritual battle with a neutral mind.

“Don’t do it… don’t do it… don’t do it…”
That white-knuckle kind of holiness?
It’s exhausting. And it doesn’t last.
So when someone asked me, “Sarah, how do you actually walk in the Spirit without slipping into control or striving?” I loved that question.
Because Galatians 5 doesn’t say “try harder.”It says: walk in the Spirit.
For me, it comes down to a simple one-two:
✨ Be intentional with your thoughts
✨ Walk in the Word
Because every battle starts in your mind.
If you leave your mind in neutral, you’ll drift into fear… insecurity… comparison… whatever pushes the hardest.
But when your mind is in gear when you’re replacing lies with truth everything changes.
That anxious thought? Replace it with truth.
That insecurity? Answer it with Scripture.
That’s not hype that’s alignment.
And the more you hide God’s Word in your heart, the more the Holy Spirit brings it back to you right when you need it.
So today don’t just try harder. Shift your mind into gear.
